Rumen Nation designs and builds custom stockyards. Stockmanship is a craft worth preserving, and our work blends modern design, proven principles and rock-solid construction.
Our team is founded on three generations of Hornbuckles in intensive livestock production. Veterinary Doctor Harry Hornbuckle began consulting to the beef and pork industries in the 1960s and established a beef feedlot at Yengarie near Maryborough, QLD in the 1970s.
He is succeeded by his son John and grandson Joshua, who heads the Rumen Nation stockyard design team.
Every yard starts with flow — vision lines, behaviour, angles, pressure and release. Rumen Nation builds calmer, safer, enduring yards for families, graziers and the next generation.
